La ciencia simple es una banda de rock instrumental formada en 2014 con base en Santiago de Chile. Destaca por una inusual mezcla entre estructuras progresivas polirítmicas y capas melódicas ambientales, creando sólidas atmósferas hipnóticas y relatos de carácter melancolico. Con cuatro LPs y fuerte presencia en circuitos alternativos, han logrado compartir escenario con míticas bandas como Tortoise o Swans, y han girado por Europa, México, Argentina y Chile.
En la actualidad, sus integrantes son Rienzi Valencia, Gonzalo Valencia, Edgar Sandoval y Yaney Salgado, quienes recientemente lanzaron su 4to álbum registrado junto al productor John McEntire (Tortoise, Stereolab) en Portland OR.
